Blue Bauhaus is a family-run collection of private villas in Bahia. Each home is designed with care for its surroundings and for how it will be used, prioritizing privacy, comfort, and spaces that feel natural to spend time in.
While the homes share a common design sensibility, each property maintains its own character. The goal is not uniformity, but creating places that feel considered, personal, and easy to return to.
At Blue Bauhaus, homes are created with longevity in mind. Decisions are made slowly, with attention to how spaces function day to day and how they hold up over time.
Comfort is considered in practical ways, through how rooms connect, how indoor and outdoor spaces relate, and how shared and private areas are balanced. The focus is on creating environments that adapt easily to different rhythms, whether days are spent exploring or staying close to home.
Blue Bauhaus grew out of a long personal relationship with Bahia. For more than twenty years, the Porto Seguro region has been a place of regular return for the family behind the brand. Summers were spent in the area, exploring Arraial d’Ajuda, Trancoso, and the coastline in between and beyond.
Over time, what began as travel became a lasting connection. The pace of the region, its landscapes, and its sense of community shaped not only how time was spent there, but also the desire to one day create a home that could be shared.
The first Blue Bauhaus home was originally created as a place to gather family and friends, a long-time goal inspired by years of returning to Arraial d’Ajuda. That home, now the flagship of the collection, continues to be used in the same spirit in which it was created.
Spending extended there revealed how meaningful it was to have a place that felt settled and personal. Sharing it more widely grew naturally from the experience.
Blue Bauhaus homes are shared with other families and groups who value privacy, thoughtful design, and time spent together. Each inquiry is handled personally and with care, with the hope that guests feel comfortable returning over time, much like the relationship that inspired the collection itself.
